Enjoy a leisurely walk and take in all the natural beauty North Dumfries has to offer! Trails in North Dumfries are maintained by the Grand River Conservation Authority, rare Charitable Research Reserve and Region of Waterloo Agreement Forests. Please see below for information regarding the available trails.

There are three sets of trail systems on the rare Charitable Research Reserve property.  For more information, please visit the rare trails website.

Please respect other trail users as well as private landowners for their kind consent by abiding to the following:

  • Only park in designated areas
  • Stay on marked routes; do not leave trail
  • Hunting is not allowed on or near the trail
  • Dogs must remain on a leash at all times and please remember to stoop & scoop.
  • Motorized vehicles are not allowed unless otherwise posted
  • Leave plants, flowers and trees for others to enjoy
  • Stay to the right of the trail and allow others to pass to your left
  • Cyclists must ting bell when passing pedestrians from either direction
  • Garbage in, garbage out
