Tax payments are encouraged to be paid through the Township’s pre-authorized Payment program (monthly or due date plans are available). To register for the pre-authorized payment program, please visit the Township's Tax Page. Please note, tax payments are not accepted by e-transfer.
Payment Options
The Township of North Dumfries can receive payments the following ways:
- In person by cash, debit or cheque at the following locations:
Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Township Office

or
Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
North Dumfries Community Complex
2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr
- Cheque (not cash) in the after-hours drop box located at the North Dumfries Community Complex, 2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr.
- Mail to 106 Earl Thompson Road, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 1060, Ayr, ON N0B 1E0.
- Electronic payment via your bank. Please allow three business days for processing.
- E-Transfer to payments@northdumfries.ca (not available for tax payments). After payment is sent, please email the following information to payments@northdumfries.ca:
- Your Name (Payee)
- Your Address
- Invoice Number
- Phone Number to reach Payee
- Payment Amount
- Reason for Payment
Parking Tickets and other Provincial Offence Fines
Payment information for parking tickets can be found on the back of the ticket. E-transfer payment is only available for tickets under 14 days old; please contact the Township office for more information.
Parking ticket payments can be paid:
- In-person by cash, debit or cheque at the Township office, 106 Earl Thompson Road, 3rd Floor or at the North Dumfries Community Complex, 2958 Greenfield Road, Ayr, during the in-person hours above.
- Mail cheque to 106 Earl Thompson Road, 3rd Floor, P.O. Box 1060, Ayr, ON N0B 1E0
- The Township does not accept payment for parking tickets after the due date listed on the Notice of Impending Conviction. Payment for tickets past the due date on the Notice of Impending Conviction is made at the Provincial Offences Court office in Kitchener.
